Meet The Team

Emily - Founder

Emily is the founder of Otsana Media.

Starting her first business when she was 17, she has always been an entrepreneur, so she understands how it feels to be a business owner, she relates to how passionate you are about your business and how important it is to you, that’s exactly why you can trust Otsana Media to help grow your business.

Over the years Emily has worked with many local and international brands and has work featured in publications such as British Vogue and Forbes.

Emily specialises in communicating, visually. With over 10 years’ experience in the design industry, Emily is uniquely good at creating, evolving and applying a core concept across multiple touchpoints.

When Emily is away from the office you will often find her walking Charlie, going on adventures with her camera and exploring new places. Emily is a thrill seeker and enjoys sky diving and mountain climbing.

Tessa- Content Designer

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Tessa brings more than 20 years of creative marketing experience into the fold. Having worked with local and international brands including British American Tobacco, Peugeot, Virgin Active and EMI Music, her skill set covers everything from PR and communications to event management, brand activation, social media management, photography, web and graphic design.

As a typical SAFFA, Tessa’s happy place is somewhere between a beach or mountain, on a horse, preferably watching a sunset with a G&T in hand.

Charlie- Professional Treat Eater

Charlie is a very loved rescue dog from Last Chance Animal Rescue and has an important role at Otsana Media…while Emily works, he sits with her and assists. Not only is he a brilliant guard dog but he has excellent customer service skills and always greets people with a wagging tail.

When Charlie is away from the office he enjoys chasing the birds in the garden, eating lots of treats and going on lovely long walks.

F.A.Q.

Here are some of the questions I get asked on a regular basis:

Don’t worry! That’s also something we can help with.
We can help you come up with a name that is perfect for your business! When it comes to picking a business name it’s always a good idea to check the availability of your name ideas. You need to make sure that the domain and social media pages are also up for grabs, this is something we will double check when we help you pick a name.

We will send you an invoice at the beginning of each month, we accept BACS payment and PayPal.

Marketing is imperative for any business. Without proper marketing and ensuring your business can be found when someone searches, no one will know about you. Implementing an online marketing plan puts your business in front of more potential customers. Your marketing can educate them about the products or services you offer.

There are SO many benefits of continuous marketing, I could talk about this for days, but here are a few of the main reasons why you benefit from continuous marketing:

  • You distinguish your business from the “competition” by staying visible and promoting your expertise.
  • It keeps you in touch with potential customers/clients. When you have a social media presence, you make it easier for your customers to find you and connect with you. By connecting with your customers through social media, you are more probable to gain customer retention and customer loyalty.
  • Creating a voice for your company is important in improving the overall brand image, your customers want to hear from you.
  • One of the other benefits of continuous marketing is that it also helps increase your website traffic. If people click your website, they are likely to read more about the service/products that you supply, making them potential customers.
  • You can evaluate your marketing efforts by the results you are seeing in your business. If they work, keep doing them; if they don’t work try something else.

Oh gosh, there are SO many reasons for this but to name a few; paid ads get you faster results, they are targeted (which means the ads will reach the right audience), different online paid advertising channels offer different specific targeting options, but most of them allow you to set some parameters for who will see your ads. Paid advertising audiences have a large reach. If you want to get your content to where people are online, PPC will do the trick.
